Tap Tap Revenge 3 is now FREE! With Jackson 5 Premium pack “in app” purchase!

December 24, 2009

It’s been a long time since Tap Tap Revenge 3 was available on the app store. Most of us complained that it should be free, like Tap Tap revenge 2.

And you know what?

It’s now officially free!! Download it now from the app store!

Now people also want the song “ABC” on Tap Tap 3, too. They give us better than that, a few days ago, Tapulous released the 6-pack of the Jackson 5 as an in-app purchase.
It costs 6.99$.

Now should you buy it? If you’re a Jackson 5 fan like me, but it! It’s got “I want you back”, “ABC”, “Dancing Machine” and three more songs you have to check out yourself.

Fake Compass app for original (EDGE/2G) and 3G iPhones, this one rotates as well.

December 4, 2009

If you’re like me, when you see a person with an iPhone 3GS, you’re kinda jealous, or maybe thinking that “oh, I should’ve waited a few months longer…”.
I also get that feeling, so I thought about getting a few features of the 3GS on my 3G iPhone. I’ve managed to find a couple of threads on ModMyi.com to help me with video recording and voice control. Now I only need the compass to make my 3G look more like the 3GS, but the problem is, the fake compass app (which is available on Cydia, known as CompassF) doesn’t rotate at all. I wanted something more realistic, so I searched on Google for quite some time until I found a post on BeYouriPhone.com which has an app that has been modded to look like the 3GS Compass app. Unfortunately, the icon isn’t correct, but that doesn’t matter, because as soon as I change the icon, the fake compass app looks really realistic, and it ALSO rotates according to the accelerometer.

If you have any questions, post a comment here.

P.S. You need to extract the files, then SSH them into your iPhone’s Applications directory.

P.S. 2 You can also use iFunbox, but you need to have iFile installed in your iPhone to set every file’s permissions to…
User: Read,Write,Execute
Group: Read,Execute
World: Read,Execute

My new (old) G4 iMac.

November 25, 2009

I’ve just got an iMac G4 for my birthday and it’s awesome. It’s the first model, with a PowerPC G4 processor running at 700 MHz, 512 MBs of RAM (Upgraded), and a DVD Reader/Writer (Upgraded).
It’s running Mac OS X Tiger, and it’s one of the most wonderful computers I’ve ever owned.
It still handles almost anything my Pentiun 4 PC (2.0 GHz) does, and it’s a really useful little machine. It’s also great for presentations (the swivelling screen reall helps).
I think if you have a chance to get a G4 Mac, especially with low prices, you should just grab that chance.

Watch out for Riddim Ribbon!

October 31, 2009

If you’ve seen the “Apple Special Event, September 9th” Keynote, you’ll probably see a few new games being presented.
One of them was Riddim Ribbon from Tapulous, which is a game which is half-driving half-DJ-ing.
You’re the DJ and your target is to mix the tracks, you select the tracks by steering your wheel towards it, you also have to steer to keep yourself in the middle of the track.
To me, it sounds awesome, but it was scheduled to be launched in “October”.
It still hasn’t appeared in the App Store, but it’s the 31st already! So I think it’ll launch sometime today.
Keep a eye out for it!

The new iPhone 3GS, now with new iBoot.

October 29, 2009

First, I’d like to apologise for the lack of news updates, I’ve been on a holiday and my SIM card doesn’t support EDGE.
Second, I’d like to thank anyone who is still following my blog, it’s great to see if anyone is still following you.

Now, the main topic.
I’ve been trying to get a new iPhone, maybe by turning my current one for cash and buy a 3GS, or get a 3GS for completely free. But as you can see, I really want a 3GS.
So I did a bit of research on Jailbreaking and Unlocking the 3GS. And it turns out the new units produced by Apple have got a newer version of iBoot! Which means Jailbreaking will have to wait!
In case you don’t know, iBoot is a file that checks the firmware if it is legal or anything that Apple wants. Jailbreaking doesn’t meet the requirements of iBoot, so an exploit is used, known as the 24kpwn exploit, which will bypasses the iBoot check.
Now, with a newer version of iBoot, the 24kpwn can’t be used, and therefore making Jailbreaking iPhones with new iBoot harder.
But not that you can’t Jailbreak it now, even without the 24kpwn exploit, you can still Jailbreak, but your iPhone will require being connected to a computer everytime it boots up.

Anyway, I’ll trust that the Dev-Team will come up with a solution soon.

Original iMac runs Jaguar.

October 21, 2009

I still haven’t mentioned that I own an iMac, right? I am the prowd owner of an original “Bondi Blue” Rev.A iMac, produced in 1998.
I’ve had it for about a year now. And I’d like to tell you a story about it.
I received it as a New Year’s present for last year year. It came with Mac OS 9.0 and obviously had its Video RAM upgraded to 6 MB before I got it.
I was wondering if I could install a later version of Mac OS on it, because Mac OS X requires 128 MBs of RAM in order to perform normally, but my iMac only has 96 MBs of RAM!
So I bought myself a 128 MB PC-133 SO-DIMM (Laptop RAM) to put in my iMac (the iMac uses laptop RAM), and it seems that the stick is faulty! And I don’t have any money now!
So I tried to install Jaguar on it, which surprisingly, completes with no bugs or anything! And it can also run Adobe Illustrator CS normally on it (Photoshop refuses to run with less than 128 MB of RAM).

So now my iMac is having a great time running 10.2.8 (Jaguar). And it now serves as a family jukebox (iTunes 6.0.5) and a living room home browser.
